Register Plus Conflicts
Many users of the Register Plus plugin for WordPress are finding that the notification emails are using the default WordPress notifications rather than their custom ones set in Register Plus. The reason this occurs is because the user has another plugin installed that is either doing it’s own override of the WordPress notifications, or worst of all is actually including the WordPress file located in ‘wp-includes/pluggable.php’ which causes the entire pluggable library of functions to no longer be pluggable. I’d like users to be aware of which plugins conflict with Register Plus, so I will try to keep an up-to-date listing here below. Please let me know of any other incompatible plugins in the comments and I will add them to the list after verification.
Conflicting Plugins
These plugins are also using the pluggable function wp_new_user_notification(); which cannot be altered more than once. I will try to incorporate any features these plugins have within Register Plus so you don’t have sacrifice any functionality.
- [none]
Bad Form Plugins
These plugins have included the ‘wp-includes/pluggable.php’ file directly, which is bad form and will cause all pluggable functions to be inaccessible to other plugins. Because of this, the function wp_new_user_notification(); cannot be overridden by Register Plus and all notifications will be WordPress defaults. These plugins should be fixed by their author to conform to WordPress standards to allow other plugins to function properly.
If you are the author of any of the above plugins and have any questions about the conflicts please send me an email and I would be happy to work with you to get things working together.

I am afraid Members Only Plugin conflicts with your otherwise excellent plugin.
After registration, verification, logon I get the (dutch localized) message there is nothing found. Also all but 1 Page and all posts don’t show up in the sidebar anymore.
This renders it unusable for my blog.
If you want, I can (directly via email) give you more info and logon info.

Hi, I installed the plugin but I get a plugin conflict notification. How do you know which one is it conflicting to?
Let me know.

After upgrading to WP 2.6.1 from 2.5.1, this plugin produced 2 errors in my install:
1. The verification URL was incorrect (error 404)
2. The username is blank after verification by admin.
3. The Username is not recognised when logging in
Updating the plugin to 3.5.1 didn’t solve it.
Turning off the email verification DID SOLVE IT!!

HI, thx for the nice features within this plugin!
TS
Unfortunately they are not working properly with my installation… I have the same ‘problems’ as written above: blank username after verification & unrecognized username while trying to log in.
Any ideas to solve it?

I am creating custom fields and when I click save at the bottom - they are not saving.

Nevermind, I was putting the name of the field in the “extra options” text box - you should really move the options to the right…

I have set up your plugin on a client’s Wordpress site, and it works perfectly so far. (Latest Wordpress version 2.6.2). Only thing I did have to do is write a simple set of “instructions” on the site’s “members area” to let newly registered people know what to do and where to go, but that wasn’t a big deal. This plugin was just what I was looking for; thank you very much.

I have this plug-in set up on two web sites on the same server with the same set of plug-ins. On one site it works fine and sends out the verification email. On the other it refuses to send them out. It doesn’t say so, but no one is getting the verification emails. Any help appreciated.
Using:
wordpress 2.6.2
Register plus 3.5.1

@ #14 - in WordpressMU the registration process is *completely different* and accesses a different file so this plugin will never be compatible with MU.

Hi,
It looks like it’s incompatable with SimpleForum as well. Too bad, otherwise it would have been a great option for people who need more info for public forum members.

Hey just to let you know, on the configuration page you say that one of the auto-complete queries is “code” when it’s actually “regcode” on the registration page. Just thought you might not have realised.
Thank you for an excellent plugin.

Hi I have an issue with the plugin
My privacy text appears to be white and i am totally stumped on what tag changes the Privacy and Disclaimer box. I got the rest of my form customised just fine. It is just this one box that doesn’t want to play. Any suggestions where i can find the code to change it’s style.

I installed the plugin register plus, translated the custom email in Spanish, tested it, and worked
for now.
I also trying to find the localization file in Spanish for the register plus plugin. I even can traslate it myself if somebody tell me which words between parenthesis need to be translated. I meant I have a little knowledge but forgot which words. Between ‘ ‘ or the words between ” “. Thank you. Your help is appreciated.

Shannon - search for “#disclaimer” in the file register-plus.php (line 1429). I had the same problem and took me a while to find it as well. I think I added the text color so mine includes
background-color:#fff;
color: #0d324f;
Hope this helps.

Hello,
great plugin.
I’ve noticed a conflicting plugin is Customize your community (it allows to have the same blog style to registration and login page); it keeps users in “inactive mode” also if they clicked the confirmation link.
Another conflicting plugin is Mailpress (if admin activates the wp_mail override); that would be nice to have it integrated (if override setting is on, confirmation code will not be sent)
ciao!

Can someone please tell me where the “email verification” that needs to be turned off is located?
I am speaking of what is referred to in #6 and #22
Thanks
